And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine. My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
