Immunity

Did you know your body has an internal self-defense mechanism? Did you know your body has an innate intelligence design to heal itself naturally without the assistance of drugs. It’s called the immune system and with immune support you are able to achieve immunity. Immunity is the state of quality of being resistant to a particular infectious disease or pathogen.

The immune system produces antibodies, which are proteins that neutralize or destroy disease-carrying organisms. Each antibody is specific to a disease so if you come into contact with the disease either through your skin or by way of ingestion your defense mechanisms are activated.

Innate Immunity

This response is inborn and begins day one of our life cycle. It includes barriers like skin and mucous membranes that prevent harmful substances from entering the body. Other barriers include skin and tears as well as cells and proteins.

Adaptive Immunity

Develops through exposure to disease or vaccines. When the body encounters a microorganism, it produces immune responses that can prevent future infections. It protects the body from pathogens like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Adaptive immunity is at its best because it recognizes the germs from the first response and is able to react and neutralize the threat before we become sick. The adaptive immune system is made up of T cells, B Cells, and antibodies which are produced in our blood and other bodily fluids.

Passive Immunity

Passive immunity is temporary and is created from another source or person like a mother passing on breast milk to her newborn baby or taking a prescribe medicine or vaccine injection specifically targeting a disease. Passive immunity give instantaneous defense, however it isn’t long-term.
